End of Summer

Well, it's been a while & I've had good intentions of writing but it was never a good time!
We are winding down on summer and gearing up for school on the 19th!  Our school supplies, new shoes, & registration fees have all been paid (whew!) and today we will visit 3 out of the 4 teachers & classrooms. Jordan's teacher was not available before the 1st day so he can meet her then!  He knows who she is from things they did with her in kindergarten so that helps.
We have 2 travel weekends left out of the 5 planned this summer!  Our trips to Wisconsin, SD & Okoboji were much fun and lots of memories made at each!

This week Troy was asked to help with another project along with his other job and at his review was recommended for a Team Lead position coming in the future.  So we'll see where his trails lead there.
Next week the kids will be in Elgin with grandma and grandpa so I plan to work more hours at church as long as there is work for me!  It's still pretty slow-going but still hoping things will pick up this fall!  We have the annual meeting the end of this month and usually the secretary is sweating putting everything together with the reports and food plans. But with the hiring of the front office manager, we have worked together on those things and have a lower stress level!!
Next week also is our anniversary so we have plans to go to an I-Cubs game and a Christian comedian a couple of evenings. We were going to go to Chicago but decided to stay home (finally!) and gear up for the first day of school.
